BrooklynThe Center for Family LifePS 503/506 schoolyards, Sunset Park, BrooklynThe Center for Family Life has organized a year-round soccer league paired with cultural, educational, and recreational activities to engage spectators, family members and other community residents. Through extensive outreach at park sites and commercial areas in Sunset Park, CFL aims to: 1) strengthen the relationship between newly immigrated families to public parks and community organizations; 2) increase community participation in parks; 3) conduct extensive outreach to inform community members about recreational opportunities at local schoolyards and parks; and 4) to engage elected officials and local non-profit agencies in planning and coordinating park activities.
